One of Danforth Pewter's most beloved holiday traditions is creating an annual snowflake design, based on W.A. Bentley's legendary photography. Bentley, the Vermont farmer who was the first to capture a single snow crystal on camera, took more than 5000 snowflake photographs, and he never found two alike - thus demonstrating to the world that each snowflake is unique. Today, the Jericho, VT Historical Society commissions Danforth Pewter to make one limited-edition design based on Bentley's photography every year.
That's why this mini ornament collection is so special! It contains four Snowflake Bentley designs from years past—2006, 2009, 2013, and 2017—making them available again after each design has been retired. No other company has the privilege of crafting designs based on Bentley's work, and we are proud and honored to carry on the tradition year after year.
